Summary: The Canadian Association of Medical Cannabis Dispensaries (CAMCD) is currently hiring the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). CAMCD is seeking an energetic individual, skilled in collaborating, that is committed to the advancement of a patient-centred medical cannabis industry. The COO is responsible for the day to day operations of CAMCD with a strong focus on the standards and certification program. The COO will be focused on the rollout and co-ordination of CAMCD’s standards and certification program. A criminal record check is required upon acceptance.
Retaining the position of CAMCD’s COO offers a unique opportunity to the successful candidate. As COO, the candidate will be the first salaried executive of CAMCD and immediately gain a national presence in the medical cannabis industry. This position provides an opportunity to expand responsibilities as CAMCD’s areas of operation grow.

Duties: The COO position includes the following duties:
• Co-ordinate certification program
• Answer general inquiries
• Support clients in preparation for surveys
• Prepare reports for the Board of Directors
• Attend Board of Directors meetings as required
• Co-ordinate work conducted by the Board of Directors, committees, and taskforces

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
• Excellent oral and written skills
• Strong sense of confidentiality
• Strong work ethic
• Able to work both independently and in a team environment
o Must be able to follow direction from the Board of Directors as well as bring innovative ideas to the Board of Directors
• Excellence in organizational management
• Ability to prioritize and organize duties, enabling completion within a budgeted timeframe
• Able to delegate and engage a variety of skill sets
• Bilingualism a strong asset
• Facilitation, consensus-decision making, and conflict resolution skills also an asset

Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience:
• At least 3 years in a management role
• At least 1 year in a customer service role
• Previous healthcare and regulatory affairs duties
o Medical cannabis industry experience is a strong asset, especially knowledge of both the Marihuana Medical Access Program and the medical cannabis dispensary system
• Experience with budgeting
• Sales and marketing
• Fundraising a strong asset
