The CAMCD Board of Directors is elected at the Annual General Meeting. All CAMCD Certified Dispensaries are eligible to have a designate vote at the AGM, and run for election to office.

Jeremy is a first-generation Canadian, born and raised in Winnipeg. He has a Bachelor of Engineering and experience with both fuel cell research, and hydroelectric consulting. Jeremy has been a Canadian representative at an energy forum in China, speaking in both Beijing and Shanghai, and has served as an elected delegate at federal party Leadership Elections in Montreal and Toronto. In 2015, after raising three beautiful daughters to adulthood, he and his wife Andrea Dobbs founded The Village Dispensary.

Ehren Richardson is the Vice President of the Sunrise Wellness Foundation, a Vancouver based, non-profit dispensary. Ehren spent several years consulting for an accounting firm in U.S. where he developed the first risk assessment reports for financial institutions servicing licensed Producer, Processor, Retailers in Washington State and Colorado.

Ehren has been a member of the Marijuana Industry Group (MIG) in Colorado, a professional cannabis association founded in 2010 to help create Colorado’s medical and adult use marijuana regulatory framework.

Tina has been working her way up in the cannabis industry for five years. She has a solid customer service background, and speaks three languages. In addition to her Bachelor Degree in International Relations, she is currently working on obtaining her CPA status. Her work on Aura;s licensing application has helped ensure they are in the front-running for receiving a business license from the City of Vancouver.

Graham has been working with medical cannabis since 2009. A member of Eden Medicinal Society, Graham in enjoying his second term as a CAMCD board member. He has a bachelor’s degree in Human Geography from The University of British Columbia.

Zach Walsh, PhD

Zach Walsh, PhD, is a clinical psychologist and an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, where he directs the Therapeutic Recreational and Problematic Substance Use lab. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has presented widely on topics related to cannabis, mental health, addictions, and public health, including invited presentations to the governments of Canada and Uruguay. He is the lead investigator for several ongoing studies of the therapeutic use of cannabis including an industry -sponsored clinical trial of cannabis for the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Professor Walsh’s research has been supported by grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Health Canada, the Peter Wall Endowment, and others.

Rosy brings over 16 years of business, entrepreneurial and legal experience specializing in corporate law and regulatory affairs. Rosy has successfully led the development of new companies, team-building, structuring products and guiding operations. She has held executive positions as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for companies involved in regulatory undertakings and in the securitization of real estate.

Jonathan Paige, PhD

Dr. Page is an internationally-recognized pioneer in cannabis plant biochemistry and genetics with extensive knowledge of cannabinoid biosynthesis. He co-led the team that first sequenced the cannabis genome and has published over 35 relevant papers. He’s a sought after industry speaker and continues to be an Adjunct Professor in the Botany Department at the University of British Columbia (UBC).

Rielle Capler

Rielle Capler has been working in the medical cannabis field in Canada for over 15 years as researcher, educator, consultant and policy advisor. After receiving a Masters degree in Health Administration, she worked with the first medical cannabis dispensary in Canada from 1999-2007. Rielle co-founded CAMCD in 2010, and as coordinator of the SEED project at UBC she worked with dispensaries, patients and other stakeholders to develop CAMCD’s nation-wide standards and certification program for dispensaries. She received the Governor General’s Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Award in 2013. Rielle is currently a PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia.

Adolfo Gonzales

Adolfo Gonzales is the former Research Coordinator at the Eden Medicinal Society, and his contributions to CAMCD include co-authoring both Cannabis and Civic Policy, and the CAMCD Guide to Choosing a Medical Cannabis Dispensary with Jamie Shaw. He has over a decade of experience as a grower, and community health activist, and worked closely with Dr Paul Hornby on a trial of cannabis as a method one replacement. Adolfo currently serves as Senior Consultant for Salvation Bio Science Labs as well as Marketing Analyst for Purely Medicinal.

Hilary Black is a founder of the BC Compassion Club Society. She has consulted with the Canadian Consortium for the a Investigation of Cannabinoids, and was co-author of The Patient Handbook on Medical Cannabis with Dr. Daniel Schecter and Dr. Mark Ware. She is currently the Director of Patient and Community Services at Bedrocan, a Health Canada Licensed Producer.

Dieter MacPherson is a long-time cannabis cultivation consultant who founded Grow Media in 2005. In 2012, he oversaw the transition of the Victoria Cannabis Buyers Club into an incorporated non-profit as its President and CEO. He is also the Editor of Cannabis Digest, and the Chief Operating Officer of Canlio.
